Despite seeing its eight-run lead whittled down by the end, the Dunkirk Marauders 11U still held off West Seneca for a 14-13 victory on Thursday. Donovan Thompson got the win for Dunkirk. He lasted three innings, allowing two hits and six runs while striking out four. Thomas Shaffer and Robert Kozlowski entered the game out of the bullpen and helped to close out the game in relief. The Marauders’ Kozlowski and Thompson each had multiple hits, including a Thompson home run. Kozlowski went 3 for 4 at the plate to lead Dunkirk Marauders 11U in hits. Jonathan Ganey hit a blast for a double in the fifth, and added three RBI. The win brings the 11U team to a 3-2 record on the year, and the team will host Lakeview at Prommenschenkel Field Sunday at 3 p.m.
