No-hitter for 11U Marauders

Submitted Photo

It wasn’t a perfect game, as some no-hitters are, but in the rain at home on Friday, three Dunkirk pitchers teamed up for a no-hit win against Tonawanda, 17-7. Two seven-run innings in the fourth and fifth were huge for Dunkirk’s offense. Josh Lemanski, Robert Kozlowski, and Dylan Bankoski threw the no-hitter, combining for 11 strikeouts. Lemanski took the win with a dominating inning on the mound, and had multiple hits on offense. Donovan Thompson also had multiple hits, and Thomas Shaffer led the team with three RBIs. Lemanski was an unstoppable force on the basepaths, stealing five of the team’s 12 bases for the game. The Marauders prepare for the start of the players’ Little League season this week, then will face Lakeview on Sunday, May 20 in a 3 p.m. game at Prommenschenkel Field.
