Amish Country Running Festival to hold inaugural event in Randolph

Special to The OBSERVER

RANDOLPH — Be part of this inaugural event in our community on Sept. 29, regardless of your fitness level or athletic ability. Wilson Endurance Sports, a race production company owned by Randolph residents Mark and Tonia Wilson, wants us all to get outside, enjoy the beauty of our area and work a little health and fitness into our life. You can walk or run (or a little of both) on the 1 mile course, 5K, 10K, Half Marathon or Marathon. The race will start at 8 a.m. on the grounds of the East Randolph United Methodist Church and head up Cemetery Hill to Walker Road, VanSlyke Road, Harris Road, Seager Hill Road and the Northeast Road and back again.

Actively seeking groups or clubs or individuals that would like to monitor one of 13 aid stations along the course. No cost, just your time and cheering abilities needed.

For questions, to volunteer and register contact Tonia Wilson at 716-353-1288 or log on to www.CoachMarkWilson.com. Race day registration is available with check or cash only.

Food will be provided by the Youth of ERUMC. Old Dawg Bluegrass Band will be there for your listening pleasure.

Free race T-shirts to volunteers that sign up prior to Aug. 29.
