Fredonia defeated Chautauqua Lake 4-1 in Section VI girls tennis, at Fredonia High School on Wednesday.

The Lady ‘Billies further proved their impressive record as they swept singles competition and split their doubles matches against the Lady Thunderbirds.

Alicia Kluck, of Fredonia, had an outstanding day on the courts not allowing her opponent a single point, winning both sets 6-0. Bernie Gens and Selin Arnavut also won their matches quite handily, (6-1,6-2) and (6-1,6-1) respectively.

Chautauqua Lake narrowly won the second doubles match, preventing the sweep, the match went to tiebreakers in the third set. The Chautauqua Lake tandem of Naomi Fisher and Elise Riedesel took the win over Fredonia’s Mackenzie Crandall and Marissa Boettcher, 6-3, 3-6 then 8-10.
