BROCTON — The Lady Bulldogs took down Pine Valley, 8-4, in a Section VI Class D Quarterfinal softball game at Brocton High School, on Thursday.

Megan Gloss was in the circle for Brocton and pitched all seven innings, allowing four runs, over five hits, five walks and five strikeouts.

Payton Swanson was the only Lady Panther to solve Gloss multiple times as she recorded two hits on the day.

Pine Valley went with Malori Waag in the circle and she too pitched the whole game, giving up eight runs, on five hits, nine walks and three strikeouts.

Jenelle Grigelevich led the way for Brocton offensively, notching two hits — including a double — and had two RBI. Cheyanna Rivera also had a double and a RBI, while Juli Smith scored twice and had a triple.

The Lady Bulldogs will take on No. 1 seed Panama next Wednesday in the Class D semifinals.
