Juliana Flick gets first place at Silver Creek/Forestville Senior Meet

SILVER CREEK — The Silver Creek/Forestville cross country team ran its final meet of the season, the Senior Meet in Silver Creek. The Black Knights held pre-meet festivities to honor Julia Kennedy who has been running for six years and Marcelo Solis-Barrientos their senior foreign exchange student from Chile.

Juliana Flick highlighted the 2.7 mile race for the Black Knights with a first place finish for the girls, registering a time of 18:04. However, Randolph won the girls meet with a score of 59, Gowanda took second with 45 and Silver Creek/Forestville scored 25.

“She ran wire to wire in the lead, running a very respectable time,” Silver Creek/Forestville coach Mike Janisch said of Juliana Flick’s race.

The Black Knights coming in after Flick were Melanie Wilson at No. 5 with a time of 20:03, Daisy League was No. 7 with a time of 20:28, Emma Romanik was No. 8 with a time of 20:48, Julia Kennedy was No. 11 with a time of 21:39, Amber Lockwood was No. 12 with a time of 21:48 and Ellie Decker was No. 23 with a time of 23:30.

Silver Creek/Forestville took second in the boys meet with a score of 52, while Catt./Little Valley scored 96 for first place and Randolph took third with 49 and Gowanda rounded it out with 34.

The boys meet overall winner was Ronan McDonald from Randolph with a time of 15:01. Gabe Rhodes led the way for the Black Knights, getting seventh place in a time of 17:02, Ryan Borrello earned No. 10 with a time of 17:38, Lucas Lowry was No. 12 with a time of 17:54, Dean League was No. 17 with a time of 18:44, Rocco Azzarella was No. 18 with a time of 18:48, Sean Kelly was No. 23 with a time of 19:46 and Aiden Jamison was No. 26 with a time of 19:49.

The Black Knights are back in action at the CCAA County Meet on Friday at Long Point State Park.
