Dunkirk bowling handles Falconer

FALCONER — The Dunkirk Marauders took down the Falconer Golden Falcons on the road on Tuesday in both boys and girls bowling contests at Jamestown Bowling Company. The Dunkirk boys won 3-1, while the reigning state champion Lady Marauders kept their flawless record this season intact with a 4-0 sweep.

The Dunkirk boys (4-8) had a score of 815-884-773-2,472 for their first overall victory on the season. Trevor Skelly (231-572) led the way, while Robert Kozlowski had a 196 game.

Falconer (4-4) had a score of 809-734-890-2,433. Matt Gullotti (229-209-587) led the Golden Falcons, while Damen Vincent (182-226-571) was not far behind.

The Lady Marauders (12-0) beat Falconer handily, with scores of 789-1,008-906-2,703. Falconer (0-4) countered with scores of 684-761-672-2,117. Dunkirk’s Mariah Glowniak was the leading scorer with a score of 226-203-600, while Olivia Corbett added games of 212 and 224, and Makayla Pasierb had scores of 190-203-172-565. Rachel Glowniak had a 202 game, while Summer Clark had a 165 game and Tayler Skelly had a 162 game.

The Falconer girls were led by Hannah Cross with scores of 181-180-506, while Amelia Sprague had a 188 game.

Falconer is at Chautauqua Lake’s home alley, Cutting Lanes on Wednesday. Dunkirk visits Chautauqua Lake on Friday.

Fredonia boys beat Southwestern

The Fredonia boys bowling team beat Southwestern 4-0 on Monday night at Lucky Lanes.

Fredonia (8-0) had games of 1,022, 862 and 917 in a 2,801 series. High bowlers for Fredonia were Sam Kawski (255-201-633), Jacob Marsh (214), Jacob Patterson (204), and Michael Dispense, who added a 573 series. Southwestern (5-7) bowled 839, 819, and 860 in a 2,518 series. Southwestern was led by Hans Vanderzyden (213-200-213-626) and Alex Nelson (213-213-623). Morgan Wilson also added a 204 game.

Both Fredonia boys and girls bowling teams return to action on Friday at Falconer, while Southwestern will bowl Wednesday against Jamestown
