OBSERVER Staff Report
LAKEWOOD — Fredonia’s wrestling team came out on top in an early season match at Southwestern on Wednesday night.
“They (Southwestern) came after us. Every match was a battle, but we were able to persevere,” said Fredonia coach Joe Santilli. “We saw some really good stuff, but we also saw some stuff we need to work on.”
Fredonia’s Lucas Hoffman won by pinfall, while Ceric Kristan beat who Santilli called a “very capable opponent” by decision and Dakota Planty had a pin, as well. Yanni Acevedo and Dalton Gardner also both won by pinfall.
