Lady Marauders remain unbeaten, top Jamestown

JAMESTOWN — The Dunkirk Lady Marauders defeated the Jamestown Lady Raiders in a 4-0 sweep on Wednesday at Jamestown Bowling Company to remain undefeated on the season. Dunkirk (28-0) had a linescore of 840-882-975-2,697, while Jamestown (14-4) had a linescore of 796-824-731-2,351.

Olivia Corbett led the Lady Marauders with a linescore of 188-198-233-619, while Rachel Glowniak added a series 181-205-179-565. Mariah Glowniak had a series of 534, including a 203 game, while Makayla Pasierb had a linescore of 156-171-182-509. Summer Clark added a game of 178.

Jamestown was led by Emily Ryberg with a linescore of 226-174-190-590, while Abbie Derby added a linescore of 177-223-162-562. Ashlin Nelson added a linescore of 158-173-145-476, while Taryn Caldwell had a 160 game.

In boys bowling action across the alley, Jamestown was on the right end of a 4-0 sweep of Dunkirk. Jamestown posted a linescore of 925-1,055-1,079-3,059, compared to Dunkirk’s linescore of 869-836-789-2,494.

Kyle Christensen led Jamestown with a linescore of 213-264-257-734, while posting the two highest game scores of the contest. Zach Ryberg had a linescore of 200-212-195-607 for the Raiders, while Brandon Michael added games of 223 and 220 in a 595 series. Riley Piazza (186-165-205-556) and Colton Cappalino (164-191-212-567) also contributed strong performances for Jamestown.

Dunkirk (18-18) was led by Robert Kozlowski with games of 206 and 217 in a 577 series. Trevor Skelly contributed a linescore of 170-169-190-529 for the Marauders, while Brady Corbett had games of 176 and 170, and Jaxson Pencek had a 176 game. Dunkirk’s next match is Jan. 22 at Lucky Lanes against Fredonia. Jamestown bowls on Friday against Falconer.

Fredonia boys knock off Southwestern 4-0

FREDONIA — The Fredonia boys knocked off Southwestern, 4-0, at Lucky Lanes.

Jacob Patterson paced the Hillbillies (29-7) with a 215-212-238-665, followed by Jacob Marsh with a 238-579 and Michael Dispense with a 206-557.

Alex Nelson led the Trojans (9-23) with a 527.

Fredonia’s linescore was 949-860-1,030-2,839 compared to 769-760-751-2,280 for Southwestern.

Forestville girls sweep Maple Grove

JAMESTOWN — The Maple Grove boys upended Forestville, 3-1. Colin Dirling rolled a 193-481 to pace the Red Dragons, who sported a linescore of 618-593-678-1,889. Braden Grubb hit a 166-445 to lead the Hornets, who had a 537-610-669-1,816.

Tristian Olsen smashed a 210-208-592 to lead the Forestville girls to a 4-0 victory over Maple Grove. Lily VanArsdale added a 168-171-165-504 for the winners. Allison McCall paced Maple Grove with a 152-354.

Tuesday

Falconer sweeps Chautauqua Lake

Matt Gullotti’s 222-215-211-648 led Falconer to a 4-0 sweep of Chautauqua Lake in Chautauqua-Cattaraugus Athletic Association Division 1 boys bowling Tuesday at Jamestown Bowling Company.

Damen Vincent added a 185-515 for the Golden Falcons (21-15), who finished with a team linescore of 800-757-743-2,300. The Thunderbirds (0-32) had a linescore of 481-474-429-1,384.

In girls action, Falconer’s Hannah Cross rolled a 276-615 to lead her team to a 4-0 sweep. The Golden Falcons (11-17) finished with a team linescore of 712-790-646-2,148. The Lady Thunderbirds (0-28) rolled a 379-440-423-1,242.

Black Knights sweep Red Dragons

JAMESTOWN — Daniel Paterson rolled a 182-180-182-544 to lead Silver Creek to a 4-0 sweep of Maple Grove in Division 2 boys action at Jamestown Bowling Company.

Brandon Erick added a 221-524 for the Black Knights (32-0), who rolled a team linescore of 786-747-797-2,330.

Logan Crist’s 212-547 led the Red Dragons (2-34) to a 781-623-749-2,153.

Silver Creek also won the girls match, 4-0. The Black Knights (19-9) rolled a 470-524-486-1,480. The Red Dragons (0-28) finished with a 342-454-425-1,221.

Forestville girls sweep Frewsburg

FREWSBURG — Collin Kehrli had a 223-542 and Matt Thompson added a 230-536 as Frewsburg blanked Forestville, 4-0, in Division 2 boys action at Frewsburg Lanes.

Noah Phillips chipped in a 181 game for the Bears (22-6), who finished with a 767-879-767-2,413.

The Hornets (6.5-25.5) finished with a team linescore of 644-649-553-1,846.

Lilly VanArsdale’s 198-540 led the Forestville girls to a 4-0 sweep. Tristian Olsen added a 190 game for the Lady Hornets (27-1), who rolled a 634-658-644-1,936 as a team.

The Lady Bears (14-10) finished with a 513-491-558-1,562.
