Fredonia wins, Silver Creek falls in Unified Bowling

LANCASTER — The Fredonia Unified Bowling team played two matches on Tuesday, beating Iroquois 4-3 and Amherst 5-2.

Although it was the first week since the season opener where the total pin count for the team dropped, Fredonia still had some high scores, headlined by Tristan Tarbell, who bowled 46 pins above his career high game. Austin Duliba also had seven strikes between two games.

The teams of Duliba and Tori Spacc and Emily Smith and Tarbell each shot a 205, while Duliba and Amber Meli shot a 234, Luke McKnatt and Luke Morris shot a 266, and Noah Tarbell and Emma Putney had a 198.

Fredonia’s final match of the season will be in Silver Creek on Thursday, Feb. 27.

Eden 6, Silver Creek 3

EDEN — The Silver Creek Unified Bowling team traveled to Eden on Tuesday night, and despite playing well, they fell 6-3. Eden ended with a total pin count of 2218, edging out Silver Creek’s total of 2063.

Several students received high score games, including Autumn Gregory with a 112, Hunter Prinzbach with a 126, Emma Romanik with a 121, and Yomari Diaz with a score of 82.

Zaeden Fuentes and Morningstar Halftown competed for the first time this season, reaching high games of 81 for Fuentes, and 88 for Morningstar.

The team will host Fredonia this Thursday, Feb. 27th, at Hanover Lanes beginning at 4:00 pm. There will also be a short Senior Recognition Ceremony for the five seniors on the team before the meet.
