CHRIC Classic golf tourney set for July 25

CHAUTAUQUA — The fifth annual CHRIC Classic golf tournament will be held again this year on the Lake Course at Chautauqua Golf Club, 4731 West Lake Road in Chautauqua on Saturday, July 25.

This year the tournament will be followed by an awards reception and outdoor steak dinner being held at the Lake Chautauqua Memorial VFW Post #8647, 10 Memorial Drive in Mayville immediately following the tournament.

Events planned are longest drive for men and women, longest putt, closet to the pin, a par-3 challenge and an on-the-turn putting competition. Entry fee is $125 per player or $450 per team, which includes cart, lunch, drink tickets and awards reception. The steak dinner is also included in the entry fee.

Over the past five years alone, CHRIC has created 77 new homeowners, has counseled 607 in financial literacy, repaired or rehabbed 559 owner-occupied homes, developed or preserved 139 rental homes, assisted 1,541 families in Chautauqua County, provided 586 volunteer hours and provided a total of direct investment of over $14 million dollars in Chautauqua County.
