There’s some changes coming behind Dunkirk’s varsity basketball benches this season.
Quinn Bankoski, who starred for Dunkirk High on the court not too long ago, graduating in 2016, is the new girls varsity coach. She resigned her position as girls’ junior varsity coach.
Meanwhile, last season’s girls varsity coach, Sixto Rosario, will now head up the boys varsity team. Rosario is the founder of the Chautauqua Hurricane semipro basketball team.
The Dunkirk Board of Education approved the moves at its meeting Tuesday.
