The feature of the festival was the WNY Walleye Classic directed by Josh Larsen, Primitive Patriot Outdoors owner and tournament director, along with his administrative team.

The threesome of Chuck Pohlman, Tim Duffy and Tom Kinmartin of Catch the Best of Elma, West Seneca and the Florida Keys, pulled out the first-place win as the 2024 WNY Walleye Classic Champions.

They sported an impressive 31.15-pound walleye box of six fish.

“We’d like to give a huge shout-out to tournament fellow anglers Deez Nuts,” said Pohlman.

Nutz, we were able to fish Saturday with determination and stick to our plan thanks to them.”

Teams I-Con (29.48) and Hunten Eyes (29.06) finished in second and third place, respectively.

For Big Fish Friday, the results were as follows for the biggest walleye caught: first place: Team Extreme (9.74 pounds) with anglers Chris McKeever, Scott Gozdziak and Tyler Burroughs; second place” Fish Missle (8.24 pounds); and third place: Lime Lake Marine (8.18 pounds).

The kids’ fishing clinic with Craig Sleeman and fishing tournament also took place this past Sunday on the Dunkirk Pier to conclude the festival.
