Grant leads Senior Tour at CGC

CHAUTAUQUA — Shelly Grant shot a 74 to lead the Asquith Senior Tour during its round on the Hill Course at Chautauqua Golf Club on Monday.

Dave Young led the White A Flight with a 78, while the Stableford leader was Randy Herron at plus-4. Dan Calkins was plus-1 and John Northrup was even-0.

In the White B Flight, Mark Digiloramo led with an 85 while Bob Burlingame was plus-6. Digiloramo was plus-4 and Jim Hale was plus-2.

Grant’s 74 paced the Gold A Flight and he was also plus-5. Dale Melquist and Jack Brunco were also plus-5.

Alan Ludwick’s 84 led the Gold B Flight. Dan Barry was plus-10 and Ludwick was plus-5, while Fred Carder was plus-2.

In the Gold C Flight, Paul Trusso led the way with a 92. Bob Welch was plus-4, Jim E. Smith was plus-2 and Jim Wise was even-0.

Lynn Butcher shot a 103 in the Gold D Flight. Clyde Mohl and Ed Potter were plus-2. John Depew was even-0.

Closest-to-the-pin honors went to Mike Guziek at No. 6, Dave Fiore at No. 8, Ron Willey at No. 12 and Carder at No. 15.

The tour will stop at Blueberry Hill Golf Club in Russell, Pennsylvania, next Tuesday before playing at Conewango Valley Country Club in Warren on June 24.
