Maple Grove boys, girls prevail at Collins Conservation Club
COLLINS — Presley Haines finished in 20:43 and Ethan Verbosky was victorious in 15:56 to lead the Maple Grove girls and boys, respectively, to team wins in Chautauqua-Cattaraugus Athletic Association cross country action at the Collins Conservation Club’s 2.8-mile course.
The Red Dragons girls finished with 22 points, while Gowanda was second with 55 points and Southwestern was third with 58 points. Dunkirk was incomplete. Rhianna Woods paced the Panthers in fourth place (21:23) and Tryniti Card led the Trojans in third place (21:08). Hanan Mohamad-Narvaez took sixth (21:44) for the Marauders.
The Red Dragons boys finished with 19 points, while Gowanda was second with 40 points and Southwestern was third with 79 points. Dunkirk was incomplete. The Panthers’ Chase Bolen was third (16:33) and Trojans’ Donavin Brown was ninth (17:50).

JAMESTOWN — Jamestown’s London Hamilton and Clevon Wofford won on their 3.1-mile home course at the Martin Road Athletic Complex.
Hamilton finished in 20:11 as the Red & Green won the girls team race with 17 points. Franklinville/Ellicottville, led by sixth-place Eva Green (23:24), was second with 43 points and Falconer/Cassadaga Valley was third with 73 points. Silver Creek/Forestville was incomplete, although Leah Mays took second in 20:30.
Wofford won the boys race in 16:58 as the Red & Green took the team race with 36 points. Falconer/Cassadaga Valley was second with 45 points, led by fourth-place Gabe Lundmark (18:26). Franklinville/Ellicottville was third with 52 points, paced by second-place Grant Cornell (17:00). Silver Creek/Forestville was fourth with 88 points, led by sixth-place Benjamin Bock (19:13).

OLEAN — Frewsburg’s Cody Kent won the boys race in 16:52 and Salamanca’s Ryanna Brady won the girls race in 20:32 at Forness Park’s 3.0-mile course.
The host Huskies won the boys team race with 26 points, led by fourth-place Cruz Clark (19:02). Salamanca was second with 29 points, paced by fifth-place Aiden George. Frewsburg, Randolph and Cattaraugus-Little Valley were incomplete.
Olean was the lone complete girls team, thus winning with 15 points, led by seventh-place Rachael Dulmus.

Fredonia/Westfield led the boys team race with 34 points, paced by third-place Trenton Krenzer in 17:55. Clymer/Sherman/Panama was second with 42 points, led by sixth-place Finn Fadale, and West Valley was third with 52 points. Allegany-Limestone was incomplete.
Clymer/Sherman/Panama won the girls race with 27 points, led by third-place Tess Flikkema in 20:51. Fredonia/Westfield was second with 51 points, paced by fifth-place Meredith Lendt, and Allegany-Limestone was third with 59 points, led by second-place Elexa Duggan (20:38). West Valley was incomplete.
