Trent Gray doubled and scored the winning run on a Brandon Shelters RBI single in the top of the seventh inning as The Stuart Tool & Die A’s beat the Larry’s Cantina Pirates 3-2.

The A’s plated two runs early in the game and the Pirates tied the score with two runs in the bottom of the fourth.

In the bottom of the seventh, winning pitcher Travis Butcher struck out the side to secure the hard-fought win.

The A’s pounded out 12 hits in the game with Gray having three. Butcher, Adam Erickson and Randy Stuart each had two hits. Butcher went the distance on the hill striking out 11 and allowing only six hits.

Steve Keyser had two hits in support of tough-luck losing pitcher Jake Horford.
