Fredonia volleyball holds off Frontier

FREDONIA — The Fredonia volleyball team began the season winning a 5-set thriller against Frontier 29-27, 25-19, 23-25, 17-25, 15-5 in nonleague action on Wednesday.

Fredonia (1-0) was led by Londyn Wilmot with 12 kills, an ace, 12 digs and three blocks; Kaylen Rollins provided nine kills, three aces and 12 digs; Elly Saunders scored six kills and an ace; Alyse Bugaj had two aces and 23 assists, Sidalee Lewis made 18 digs and Maddie Krakowiak had five kills.

Frontier (0-1) was led by Bryn Leyh with 11 kills, Emma Bridges had seven kills, both Ava Low and Ava Lavelle scored five kills, Meg Murray had four kills and three aces and Briauna Ochs made 35 assists.
