Chautauqua Lake girls down Panama

MAYVILLE — Kiera Loberg had 29 points, seven steals and three assists to lead Panama past Chautauqua Lake 63-32 in Chautauqua-Cattaraugus Athletic Association Division 2 girls basketball Friday.

Jessica Lyon chipped in 15 points, 13 rebounds and seven assists while Mckenna Kolstee had 8 points and seven rebounds for the Panthers (6-4, 2-1).

Eden Ludwig led the Eagles (6-4, 2-2) with 11 points. Kaylee Tarr had 12 rebounds and Brina Jacobson had seven.

WOLVERINES PREVAIL

CLYMER — Westfield limited Clymer to 15 points in the final three quarters en route to a 43-28 victory in a Division 2 game.

Leading the way offensively for the Wolverines were Nahlia Douglas with 16 points and six rebounds, and Mackenzie Schumaker chipped in 9 points. Reagan Weingart added 8 points and seven rebounds; Olivia Wolfe had five assists and five steals; and Sophia Wolfe collected four assists and three steals for the winners.

For the Pirates, Alyssa Pratt scored a team-best 7 points to go along with three rebounds, three assists and four steals; and Hannidy Goetznger added 5 points and 10 boards.

FORESTVILLE — Carilene Sliwa scored 34 points to lead Forestville past North Collins 55-30 in Division 4 action.

Ingrid Gibson and Elizabeth Case added 9 points apiece for the Hornets (4-2, 2-0).

The Eagles fell to 1-7 overall and 1-2 in the league.

WARRIORS DOWN HILLBILLIES

FREDONIA — Maliyah Foster had 13 points, four assists and three rebounds to lead Salamanca past Fredonia 55-31 in Division 1 action.

Ella Crouse had 10 points and two assists while Arabelle Reynolds grabbed a team-high five rebounds for the Warriors (7-3, 3-0).

The Hillbillies fell to 4-4 overall and 1-2 in the league.

EAGLES ROLL PAST PANAMA

MAYVILLE — Behind balanced scoring, Chautauqua Lake upended Panama 60-40 in a Chautauqua-Cattaraugus Athletic Association Division 2 basketball game Friday night.

Leading the way for the Eagles (4-5) was Trent Houser with 14 points. Carson Fairbank collected eight rebounds and six steals; Brayden Gibbs added seven assists; Asher Olson grabbed seven boards; and Joey Abuhmeidan chipped in five steals.

For the Panthers, Konner Morgan led the way with 14 points.
