Apparent violent incident in Dunkirk

Dunkirk and other police agencies were on the scene on Wednesday after the stabbing incident.

Police from several agencies had part of Lincoln Avenue in Dunkirk, between Talcott and Courtney streets, closed and taped off for several hours late this afternoon due to an apparent violent incident. Rumors flew fast on the street among small groups of onlookers as officers worked the scene. The police were initially too busy to talk or tight-lipped about what was going on. The street was reopened about 7 p.m. Check Thursday’s OBSERVER and this website for updates.
