Fredonia Rolling again at Opera House

The OBSERVER’s View

It was not the smoothest of returns at the Fredonia Opera House for Rick Davis, executive director. Upon walking out on the stage, Davis issued a “Welcome back” that was heard by patrons loud and clear.

That was a good thing, since his microphone was not working at the start. But on that Saturday night, a good-sized crowd took in the movie “Dream Horse” that was fantastic.

Just as exciting was the Opera House’s return to hosting events. That was the first since the start of the COVID-19 pandemic in March. More events are on the way, including the “Queen Bees” movie this weekend.

Passers-by already know. The new marquee is impressive — and the Opera House is such a gift to this village.

Take advantage of it! It’s a great night out — and always entertaining.
