Woods optimistic about city finances

Dunkirk Treasurer Mark Woods called the city’s finances “pretty much on target” during a brief update to the Common Council’s Finance Committee Thursday. The city had to float a Revenue Anticipation Note in July because, Woods said then, its cash intake would not pick up until at least September. Thursday, he said "there are several sizable revenue streams we are awaiting, which will go to repayment of the Revenue Anticipation Note."
