One dies, others injured in Route 83 crash

One person was killed in a multi-vehicle crash late Saturday that closed a portion of Route 83 in the town of Arkwright for several hours. A Chautauqua County coroner was requested at the scene of the crash, reported around 10:40 p.m. at Route 83 and Center Road. At least four injuries were reported. Forestville, Cassadaga, Silver Creek, Sheridan Fire Departments, Chautauqua County EMS and and Chautauqua County Fire Police Response Team, according to county scanner reports from the evening.
