JAMESTOWN -- At about 6:06 p.m. Saturday, officers of the Jamestown Police responded to a Stowe Street residence for a report of a physical domestic incident. While enroute, officers were advised by dispatch that the male, identified as Ronald J. Maund, 21,was yelling in the background that he was going to come out of the house armed and was despondent. I was reading a book review recently about the long history humans have had with dogs and puppies. According to the article, “Neanderthals didn’t live with puppies. But Homo sapiens have done so for thousands of years.” That reminded me of myself talking to our dog every morning on the way to get the newspaper.
