Church of the Living Spirit
This week’s speaker is Shirley Yuscek. Church services are held every Sunday in the Assembly Hall on Cleveland Avenue in Lily Dale.
Service time is 10:30 to 12:00 and consists of a spiritual talk, a hands on healing, a message demonstration, music, meditation and prayer.
The public is invited to attend and there is no gate fee through June.
Spirit Sunday readings will be available with Lily Dale registered mediums from 1 to 3 p.m. at the Assembly Hall, Cleveland Avenue, Lily Dale the first Sunday of the month. Blessed Mary Angela Parish
The Blessed Mary Angela Church Rosary Society will hold its next meeting on Monday, March 5 at 7 p.m. at the Hillside site Social Center, 324 Townsend St., Dunkirk.
New members are welcome and encouraged to attend.
St. John’s Episcopal Church
On Fridays during Lent, St. John’s will observe the Stations of the Cross at 6 p.m. A procession starts at each of the 14 images (stations) on the walls of the church. At each station, there is a short prayer and meditation. All are invited to a “Dutch treat” dinner at a local restaurant following the service.
The public is invited to attend all services and events at St. John’s, 16 W. Fourth St. in Dunkirk.
Apple Seed Christian Preschool
Apple Seed Christian Preschool will host a fundraiser vendor event on Saturday, March 10 from 1 to 6 p.m. at Eason Hall, 23 Elm St., Westfield. A ticket auction will also be offered. The event will benefit the preschool, which is a non-profit Christian Preschool. Vendors are still being accepted. For more information, call 326-3110.
Trinity Lutheran Church
Each Wednesday during Lent, there will be two services: one at noon and family night activities beginning at 5 p.m. The family night includes a light supper, worship, music and a craft activity.
Portland Congregational Church
As part of the Portland Congregational Church 200-year celebration, PCC is sponsoring a fun-filled painting afternoon on Saturday, March 10 from 1 to 3 p.m. at the church, 8649 Church St. The subject for the painting will be in keeping with the bicentennial theme. The fee is $35. Reservations are required and can be made by calling Anita at 410-2664 or Diane at 792-9689. Refreshments will be served. The painting is run by Rena’s Rustiques.
