Representatives of the John T. Murray VFW Post 1017 in Dunkirk present the proceeds from a recent surprise spaghetti dinner fundraiser to members of the Lakeshore Humane Society. A total of $1,605 was raised in appreciation for LHS’s efforts to resolve a stray cat issue in the vicinity of the club through their trap-neuter-release program. The money will be used to help defray medical costs for local cats and dogs at the adoption center. The event was organized and hosted by Christina Maldonado, assisted by Rhonda Daminski and other club members.
