CHAUTAUQUA COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE – ELLERY – Jennifer A. Lugo, 38, of Bemus Point was charged Tuesday around 11:30 a.m. with second-degree harassment and fourth-degree criminal mischief. It is alleged that she threw a cell phone at another individual and subsequently took a phone from another person while that individual was attempting to call 911. She was taken to the Chautauqua County Jail to await centralized arraignment. Lugo will appear in Ellery Town Court at a later date.

Dunkirk pair face drug charges

CHAUTAUQUA COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE – Jonathan M. Tresler, 36, of Fredonia was charged Friday with criminal contempt. It is alleged that he violated a stay-away Order of Protection that was filed in Fredonia two days earlier. CVCS under lockout after Sinclairville incident

Cassadaga Valley Central School District was in a lockout during a portion of Monday after an apparent shooting incident in the Sinclairville community. The district announced the temporary lockout in a Facebook post shortly after 10:28 a.m. “While this matter was unrelated to our schools, district leaders, in consultation with our School Safety Adviser, immediately implemented a lockout out of an abundance of caution,” the district post said. CHAUTAUQUA COUNTY SHERIFF’S DEPARTMENT — FALCONER — At around 5:40 p.m. Friday on Davis Street, deputies conducted a traffic stop for an observed infraction. The operator was identified as 64-year-old Donald E. Gustafson of Jamestown. Subsequent investigation into the matter led to his arrest for driving while intoxicated. Gustafson was transported to the Ellicott Police Department for processing. He was charged with DWI common law, DWI Per Se, and moving from lane unsafely. Gustafson was later released with tickets to appear in the Town of Ellicott Court at a later date. — ...
