Bauernfeind, 47, of Jamestown was charged with second-degree strangulation, third-degree assault and fourth-degree criminal mischief at 11:30 p.m. Wednesday after officers responded to a north side address for a domestic dispute. CHAUTAUQUA COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE - MAYVILLE - Thomas Schmid Jr., 34, of Mayville was charged Monday with second-degree harassment, second-degree menacing and third-degree criminal possession of a weapon after deputies responded to a Mayville business for a reported altercation. BOLIVAR — Two state troopers were stabbed after a stop at a convenience store around 3:25 p.m. Saturday. State Police at Amity located a stolen vehicle in the village and performed a vehicle and traffic stop in the parking lot of Crosby’s Gas Station. During the arrest of a female suspect, she violently resisted and stabbed one Trooper just above the eye and another in the head. Johnson, 50, of Jamestown. Further investigation found Johnson to have been operating the motor vehicle while intoxicated.
