CHAUTAUQUA COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE – GERRY – Toni Long, 35, and Robert Johnston, 33, both of Sinclairville were both charged on March 29 with second-degree criminal trespass, fifth-degree criminal possession of stolen property, and petit larceny. It is alleged that Long and Johnston trespassed on private property on Damon Hill Road on more than one occasion, and took multiple items from the property while on scene without permission. Jamestown man resentenced in 2020 rape case conviction

A Jamestown man has been resentenced in a rape case after a ruling form a higher court. According to District Attorney Jason Schmidt, Dennis Park, 40, was resentenced Monday to 18 years in state prison with 25 years post-release supervision on a conviction of first-degree rape, a class B felony, and 18 years with 25 years post-release supervision on a conviction of first-degree criminal sex act, a class B felony. CHAUTAUQUA COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE – SHERMAN – Daryll Thompson Jr., 39, of Sherman was charged Wednesday with second-degree assault and second-degree obstructing governmental administration. At around 1 a.m. deputies responded to an address in the town to investigate a reported altercation between two people. It is alleged that Thompson became combative, did not cooperate in the investigation and engaged in a physical altercation with a deputy. Westfield police and fire, along with other mutual aid fire departments, responded to 22 Watson Ave. for a reported structure fire.
