Truck strikes CSX bridge in city Dunkirk police received a call reporting that a semi had struck the CSX Bridge on Brigham Road before noon Wednesday. After an investigation it was determined that semi was travelling north on Brigham Road and struck the south side of the bridge with the top of the trailer it was hauling. CSX responded to the scene and examined the bridge and Dunkirk DPW cleared the roadway of debris. There were no injuries. CHAUTAUQUA COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE – MAYVILLE – Joseph Cohen, 47, of Jamestown and currently an incarcerated individual at the county jail, was charged March 12 with third-degree criminal mischief. It is alleged that he intentionally damaged an electronic tablet.

DUNKIRK FIRE DEPARTMENT A trash can fire damaged the wall of an apartment house in the city on Friday. At approximately 3:37 p.m., the city of Dunkirk Fire Department was dispatched to 787 Deer St. Upon arrival, crews found that the exterior fire had spread into the wall of the apartment house. Quick action by residents and Dunkirk Police Officers kept the fire in check until firefighters could open the wall and extinguish it. A Jamestown woman could face 10 years in prison and a maximum of life after an indictment to a narcotics conspiracy. U.S. Attorney Michael DiGiacomo announced Friday a federal grand jury is charging Latika Saintkitts a/k/a Tika, 34. Assistant U.S. Attorneys Joshua A. Violanti and Louis A. Testani, who are handling the case, stated that according to the indictment, between 2018, and May 26, 2022, Saintkitts conspired with Joseph S. Jamestown man admits role in meth ring

A Jamestown man has pleaded guilty to conspiracy to possess with intent to distribute, and to distribute, methamphetamine. U.S. Attorney Michael DiGiacomo announced Friday that Aaron Miller, 31, made the admission to U.S. District Judge John L. Sinatra, Jr. The plea carries a maximum penalty of 20 years in prison, and a $1,000,000 fine. Assistant U.S. Attorney Joshua A.
