County part of state crop disaster declaration
Chautauqua County is one of 15 counties being included in a disaster declaration due to an April frost. On Friday, state Gov. Kathy Hochul announced that New York state has requested a United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) Secretarial Disaster Designation for counties in the Hudson Valley, Capital Region, Central New York, Southern Tier and the Western New York regions.
