Portland commends longtime employee

PORTLAND — After serving the Town of Portland for over 26 years, Rick Comstock officially retired from the Highway Department on June 30. There were no injuries reported in a Sunday morning fire at Dunkirk’s Coburn Block. The Dunkirk Fire Department rolled to the historic building on the corner of Second Street and Central Avenue at 7:59 a.m. Sunday.
