Westfield planning BUNNY HOP weekend

WESTFIELD — The Village of Westfield has announced its second annual signature weekend event, designed to be a fun, family friendly outing with a little something for everyone. The “BUNNY HOP” weekend will take place on Friday and Saturday throughout the village and beyond. Beginning on Friday, from 11 a.m. until 2 p.m., the Patterson Library will sponsor an Easter Egg Hunt, movies, treats, face painting and a chance to visit with live bunnies and chicks. Florida man dies after being struck on Route 39

COLLINS — A Florida man has died after being struck by a pickup while walking on state Route 39. State Police in Collins report that at 6:32 a.m. Saturday, the unit responded to a vehicle collision involving a pedestrian. An investigation determined that a 2013 Dodge Ram was traveling eastbound and struck Patrick E. Kerby, 47 of Fleming, Fla., who was walking in the lane of travel. City proposes delay in firefighter lawsuit arguments

Jamestown officials are asking state Supreme Court Justice Stephen Cass to delay the first oral arguments in a lawsuit brought by the union representing city firefighters.
