WMH Auxiliary sponsoring pie booth

WESTFIELD – Summer breezes and sunshine have finally arrived and that means it is pie baking time again!

The Westfield Memorial Hospital Auxiliary is sponsoring the pie booth at the annual Arts & Crafts Fair in Moore Park (Westfield) on Friday, July 29 and Saturday, July 30. The Pie Booth is one of the Auxiliary’s major fund-raisers. All proceeds are used to fund renovations and/or purchase items for Westfield Memorial Hospital.

We are asking for your help once again. For those who can bake those wonderful pies, please do! For those who cannot bake but still wish to help, we will gladly accept your donation of money, or you time in working at the Pie Booth.

Here are a few things to remember:

All pies must be homemade (that is the requirement of the Arts & Crafts Fair).

We can only sell fruit pies (all kinds and combinations) – pecan, walnut, mock apple, apple crumb, and Toll House.

Be creative.

We cannot sell cream pies or any other kind that needs refrigeration since we do not have that convenience available.

Pies must be baked in disposable containers. We sell some pies whole, while others are cut and sold by the piece. It is impossible to return your container.

Kindly package and label your pie, especially if it is a combination of fruit, sugar free, or an unusual kind of pie.

Our booth is located on Elm Street next to the Episcopal Church, and across from Eason Hall.

We have a space reserved in which you may park for delivery only. You will see our sign.

You may deliver pies any time on Friday or Saturday, beginning at 8:15 a.m. If possible, we prefer to have pies delivered to our booth by noon each day, as the demand for pie seems to be greatest in the morning and at lunch time.

We are most grateful to those of you who have baked pies, donated money, donated fruit, and volunteered to work at the Pie Booth for so many years. We sincerely appreciate your talent, your generosity, and your willingness to help. You have truly made the “Pie Booth” a highlight of the Arts & Crafts Fair!
