Westfield/Mayville Rotarians hear about Timberfish company

WESTFIELD – Timberfish (yes, that’s what it’s called) is coming our way, according to Jere Northrop, CEO, who enlightened the Westfield/May-ville Rotarians recently.

Also involved is Aaron Resnick, Chief Operating Officer, who is well known as executive director at Westfield Development.

A succinct explanation according to its Web description – www.timberfish.com – is, “(Timberfish) Technologies is an innovative biotechnology company specializing in nutrient separation and bioconversion, using forest byproducts and a microbial biomass to sustainably produce high quality seafood in an environmentally friendly system.

“Since its inception in 2008, Timberfish has developed its technology specifically for the $80 billon aquaculture fish production market (roughly half of the global seafood supply). Growing at over 7 percent per year, this is the fastest growing animal agriculture market segment.”

A ground breaking ceremony for Timberfish was held in June 2016 at Mazza’s Five & 20 Spirits & Brewing in Westfield, the business with which it works. The object of the company is to be ready to sell fish in a year, Northrop said.

For further information, contact Northrop at TimberFish Technologies, P.O. Box 411, Westfield, NY 14787 or telephone 870-6473. Email is info@timverfishtech.com
