DHS pool winter program

The Dunkirk City Schools Pool is offering the following programming for this winter.

Morning Lap Swim

Jan. 4 to April 5, 6:30 to 7:30 a.m.

Mondays and Wednes-days (no class Jan. 16 or Feb. 20);  25 sessions  – $2 per class or $48 for the whole session

Aquasize

Jan. 4 to April 5, 6:30-7:30 p.m.

Mondays and Wednesdays (no class Jan. 16 or Feb. 20); 25 sessions  – $4 per class or $96 for the whole session

Evening Lap Swim

Jan. 3 to April 6, 6:30 to 7:30 p.m.

Tuesdays and Thursdays, (Jan.10, 12, 17, class will be from 7:30- to 8:30 p.m.)

28 sessions  – $2 per class or $54 for the whole session

Deep Water Aquasize

Jan. 3 to April 6, 6:30 to 7:30 p.m.

Tuesdays and Thursdays, (Jan 10, 12, 17, class will be from 7:30 to 8:30 p.m.)

28 sessions  – $4 per class or $108 for the whole session

Family Open Swim

Friday, Jan. 6, 13, 20, Feb. 3, 10, 17, 24, March 3, 10, 17, 24, 31 and April 7  from 7 to 9 p.m.

Children under 11 must be accompanied by an adult,  $2 per person. Limited to 60 swimmers.

Technique and Endurance

Friday, Jan. 6, 13, 20, Feb. 3, 10, 17, 24, March 3, 10, 17, 24, 31 and April 7 from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m.; $4 per person.

Dunkirk High School Pool Technique & Endurance sessions are a new program based on the requests of our swimmers and community. It is designed for young swimmers who are in our Learn To Swim program and are fish, sharks or dolphin classes to come in and fine tune their swimming skills. Also, adults interested in advancing their swimming abilities are encouraged to attend. The sessions will be run in group-instruction format with our swim instructors. This is not a learn to swim session or open swim  – if interested in those activities, attend those classes when they are offered.

Learn to Swim at Dunkirk High School

Classes for the following age groups: Guppies (beginners), Minnows, Fish, Sharks and Dolphins (advanced)

The swimming classes will take place on Saturday mornings, in three sessions, beginning on Feb. 25 and ending on May 13 ( NO classes on April 15 or 22)

Session 1 — 9 to 9:45 a.m. and will include the following classes: Guppies, Minnows, Fish, Sharks and Dolphins

Session 2  — 10 to 10:45 a.m. and will include the following classes: Guppies, Minnows, Fish, Sharks and Dolphins

Session 3 — 11 to 11:45 a.m. and will include the following classes: Infant-Parent Course (IPAP) and Flying Fish (Diving)

Registration will take place on Friday, Feb. 17 in the High School pool lobby from 4 to 5:30 p.m. for Dunkirk residents and 5:30 to 7 p.m. for all others.

Dunkirk Residents: first child:$35, second child: $30 and additional children $25/each

Non-Dunkirk Residents: First Child: $40, second child: $35 and additional children $30/each

ALL REGISTRATIONS MUST BE PAID IN CASH, NO CHECKS CAN BE ACCEPTED

All classes will be filled on a first-come, first-served basis. Parents are asked to stay in the balcony area to avoid confusion on the pool deck. No food or drinks in the pool or balcony area.
