Santa and his elves arrived in the village of Cassadaga on Sunday afternoon using the Cassadaga Volunteer Fire Department fire truck for his visit with the boys and girls. Santa wanted to give his reindeer rest time before their big journey on Christmas eve in two weeks. Firemen from the fire department used their utility trailer to serve hot chocolate to the children, and the elves presented a gift to each boy and girl. The Cassadaga branch library served cookies, and a place to get warm during the below freezing temperature. Many children talked to Santa during his visit.
