Maker Faire set for Saturday in Hamburg

HAMBURG — The highly anticipated Maker Faire is this Saturday at Big Tree Elementary School, 4460 Bayview Road. It is a celebration of the Maker Movement, a family-friendly event open to all, which showcases invention, creativity, and resourcefulness. It brings together curious people who enjoy learning and love sharing science, artisan, and Maker skills. The Faire gathers adult and child tech enthusiasts, crafters, educators, tinkerers, artisans, hobbyists, engineers, science clubs, artists, students, and commercial exhibitors.

A complete listing and informative descriptions of the nearly 50 Makers may be found at: https://wnyregion.makerfaire.com/makers-exhibits

The Western New York Regional Maker Faire is a community-organized, family-friendly celebration featuring local do-it-yourself science, art, rockets, robots, crafts, technology, music, hands-on activities, and more. It’s an event where people show what they are making and share what they are learning. April’s Maker Faire’s goal is to represent the best of makers from the eight counties of Western New York, the State of New York, and around the world.

Makers are parents, students, scientists, and garage tinkerers. They are young, they are old, but all share a profound love for innovation and inspiring others to make something– to make anything–as long as it sparks creativity in people!
