Spring Hospice gala returns with fun carnival theme

MAYVILLE — Chautauqua Hospice and Palliative Care invites the community to celebrate its seventh annual gala, “Welcome to the Carnival” on Saturday, May 21, at the Chautauqua Suites Meeting and Expo Center in Mayville. The fundraising event helps Chautauqua Hospice and Palliative Care provide additional services and therapies that insurances do not cover. Guests are welcome to dress up for this circus-themed party. The evening will begin at 6 p.m. followed by dinner at 7 p.m. There will be a decorated hall with a carnival theme and the opportunity to ‘step right up’ and be photographed for a lasting memento. Along with themed games there will be a silent auction to explore before dinner. Dinner and dessert will be served. Following dinner a live auction will be held followed by dancing to music provided by Afterdark DJ Service. A cash bar will be available for refreshments. “This year’s gala is more than a fun-filled night under the ‘Big Top’—it’s a return to having fun for the sake of fun, seeing old friends, and getting out and cutting a rug on the dance floor!” said BJ Buonaiuto, Chautauqua Hospice and Palliative Care community events coordinator. “So grab your top hat, your clown nose, and let’s show everyone how much fun it can be when we’re all together!.” Sponsors include The Chautauqua Suites Meeting and Expo Center, Bliss Hill Photography, B.
