Silver Creek Class of 1976 gathers for 50th reunion

Members of the Silver Creek Class of 1976 are pictured.

The Bicentennial Class of 1976 from Silver Creek celebrated their 50th class reunion on June 13 at Liberty Vineyard and Winery in Sheridan. Guests arrived from across the country as they reminisced about the past and shared nostalgic stories about growth, friendship and cherished moments.

At the Silver Creek High School Class Night Frank Nappo, Vice President of the senior class, presented two high school seniors with scholarship awards for $300 each. These awards were based on good character and school spirit. It is the hope that every class who celebrates their 50th reunion will follow the lead of the Bicentennial Class and continue to honor students at Class Night every year.

A special shout out to those who donated door prizes and give-a-ways for the event. Paul Zajas of Mesa, Ariz., donated mugs with a class logo and printed toothbrushes for all who attended.

In addition, he offered electric toothbrushes and water pics for the door prizes. Karen Richardson had flags made up for every class member to take home, as well as several door prizes and gold and black candies for everyone to enjoy. Rob Matteson donated a lovely wooden art piece that was given as a door prize.

A group photo will be presented to the Silver Creek Village Historical Society.

Committee members who worked hard to make this reunion enjoyable for everyone include: Deborah Bartlett Ulrich, Karen Richardson, Frank Nappo, Judy Barnett Hilliker, Sharon Gutekunst Krupa, Joe DePasquale, Donna Fancher House, Penny Ehmke Hipkins, Tim Rocque.

Starting at $4.00/week.
