Spring meeting planned for Association SOUTH DAYTON — The Villenova Burial Association will hold its annual spring meeting on Tuesday, April 21 at 6:30 p.m. at the Villenova Town Hall, 1094 Butcher Road. The Association Trustees would like to encourage all members of the Association (anyone who owns a lot or has family members buried in the Villenova Cemetery) to attend this upcoming meeting. Silver Creek Seniors meet

SILVER CREEK – The Silver Creek Seniors met on March 31 with 16 members present. President Randy Nurmi opened the meeting with all saying the Pledge of Allegiance and singing God Bless America. He then welcomed back Al Wilson, Ruth and Earl Sheeler. The group had brown bag lunches followed by cake and ice cream for the February and March birthdays. (Picture next week). Local advocates coordinate drive for World Down Syndrome Day

Amy Pembridge can’t wait for March 21, 2027. That’s because March 21, 2026, more than fulfilled Pembridge’s expectations for her fundraising event in celebration of World Down Syndrome Day that gathered socks to donate to a company dedicated to addressing an increasing need for many throughout the community. Though the primary purpose was to gather these donations, the event had other effects such as igniting a day of community connection, while recognizing the strength of those with Down Syndrome.
