Legislature’s July meeting to be held at Jackson Center

The Chautauqua County Legislature will be going on a field trip of sorts. During the June meeting, lawmakers approved a resolution to move their next monthly meeting from Mayville to the Robert H. Jackson Center in Jamestown. County Legislature Chairman Pierre Chagnon, R-Ellery, said during a committee meeting that he received a letter from Kristan McMahon, the executive director of the Jackson Center. Silver Creek Senior Citizens meet

SILVER CREEK – The Silver Creek Seniors met on June 30 with 23 people in attendance. President Randy Nurmi opened the meeting with all saying the Pledge of Allegiance and singing God Bless America. He then welcomed Peggy and Bruce who led us through some fun exercises. The group then thanked Randy for making the new sign for the front yard! Lunch consisted of hot dogs, baked beans, salads and dessert. Thank you to the men of the group for grilling the hot dogs.
