The North Shore Arts Alliance announces that the 11th annual Chautauqua-Lake Erie Art Trail Open Studio and Gallery Tour will take place over Memorial Day Weekend, May 25-26. One of the artists participating in this year’s art trail is Katherine Galbraith for fine oil painting.

Born in Memphis, Tennessee, Katherine Galbraith first knew she wanted to be an artist at an early age. She is inspired by most anything living — people, animals, flowers and landscapes and prefers to paint from life whenever possible. Her work has been influenced by many artists, both past and present including: John Singer Sargent, Isaac Levitan, Jan Vermeer, Rembrandt, the 16th Century Dutch still life artists, Daniel Greene, Michelle Dunaway, Jill Carver, John McDonald and Matt Smith. Galbraith is a Signature Member of Oil Painters of America as well as American Women Artists.

Her work will be on display at the Station Art Gallery, 11 English St., Westfield. For more information and a list of all the artists participating, visit http://www.northshoreartsalliance.com.
