Belle Starr Concert to rock Colden on July 20

COLDEN — Popular local rock band Cock Robin will help celebrate Colden and the legacy of the Belle Starr Lodge this summer as the headlining act of the Belle Starr Concert.

Traditionally held in early autumn, the Belle Starr Concert has been moved to the beautiful days of summer and will be held on Saturday, July 20 at the Buffalo Ski Center, 7417 State Road (Route 240) in Colden. Gates open at 6 p.m. with opening act Paul Enderle.

Cock Robin, scheduled to take the stage at 7:30 p.m. that evening, gained popularity in the 1970s by packing clubs from Buffalo to Syracuse to Cleveland. Known for their covers of British and American rock bands, they also have a catalog of their own original music.

The Belle Starr Concert is a fundraiser for the Colden Festival, a decades-long tradition that got its start as the Colden Art Festival. The festival is scheduled to be held this year on Sept. 7 & 8 in downtown Colden. Both the concert and festival are organized by the volunteer group Celebrate Colden, Inc.

In addition to great music, the concert will feature beer, wine, food and fun with special Belle Starr T-shirts available for purchase. The event’s guest bartenders, the freestyle coaches from the Buffalo Ski Center, will be accepting tips to help fund their programs.

The Belle Starr Concert is an all-ages show with a $5 pre-sale cover charge. Tickets are available online at coldenfestival.com locally at the Colden Country Inn, Last Run, Colden Market and Cafe and Tipsy Goat.

Tickets are $10 at the door.

Come join Celebrate Colden, Inc., in celebrating the legacy of Colden’s most famous roadhouse, the Belle Starr Lodge. For additional information on the concert and the rest of this year’s Colden Festival, visit coldenfestival.com.
