Arts & Business Luncheon Features Songwriter and Guitarist Alison Pipitone

The Fredonia Technology Incubator continues its Arts and Business Luncheon Series with a virtual lunch event featuring award winning songwriter and guitarist Alison Pipitone.

Pipitone will share her story and offer insights into the business side of her career.

“The Arts and Business Luncheon Series offers a unique insight into the business side of the arts,” said Chuck Cornell, incubator director. “I’m thrilled that Alison will share her story and field some audience questions. High quality and interactive programs such as this are a key part of what we do here at the incubator.”

The workshop will be held Thursday, Nov. 5, from noon to 1 p.m. The event is free and is open to the public and will take place remotely via Zoom. Participants must register for the event at artsandbusinesspipitone.eventbrite.com

Pipitone is an award-winning songwriter, guitarist, and band leader based in Buffalo. As a solo musician, and with The Alison Pipitone Band, she creates an original style of rock and roll. Pipitone was inducted into the Buffalo Music Hall of Fame in 2017, and in 2000 she started her own label, Slice Records. Additionally, she hosts a podcast called The Great Unsung, which focuses on the joys and perils of being a working musician in the 21st century. She teaches courses for the Department of Business, Music Industry and the Department of English for State University at Fredonia.
