CASSADAGA – The Citizens for a Better Cassadaga has announced the next performance of the Cassadaga Lakes Summer Concert Series will be Hooman and will take place Sunday, Aug. 9, from 5-7 p.m. on the Cassadaga Floating Stage. Hooman has something for everyone – Rhythm and Blues, Jazz, Motown and even Southern Rock. These local boys will have you dancing in your seats with Johnny Hollins on guitar and vocals, Joe Coats on keyboards and vocals, Rod Horning on bass and vocals, and Mark Horning on drums. Silver Creek Senior Citizens meet

SILVER CREEK – The Silver Creek Seniors met on July 28 with 19 members in attendance. President Randy Nurmi then opened the meeting with all saying the Pledge of Allegiance and singing God Bless America. The group was pleased that former president Sally Conover joined the meeting and entertained with many jokes. Chaplain Pauline Flitt read “I praise the morning” and offered a prayer for the members and the food they prepared. Attendees enjoyed a wide variety of dishes.
