Our Lady of Fatima Society of BMA parish meets and plans events

The Our Lady of Fatima Society of Blessed Mary Angela Parish met on Tuesday, Feb. 11 in the lyceum.

President Joan Gula read a thank you note from Jimmy and Jessica Biehler. Gula reported that Father Matt agreed to let the group hold a “PreLenten” bake sale on Saturday, March 1 along with the Polish dinner.

Ladies are asked to come at noon to set up and accept baked goods. Items will be sold after the 4 p.m. Mass on March 1 and after the 7 a.m. and 8:45 a.m. Mass on Sunday, March 2. There will also be a money raffle.

Gula said she and Debbie Waclawski, Polly Newman, Peg Pokoj, Linda Curtin and Bonnie Kawski cleaned the lyceum kitchen.

The Fatima Society will furnish refreshments for events in the lyceum and the Rosary Society will provide refreshments at the parish Social Hall.

There will be a chicken dinner held on Sunday, Feb. 23 at the Monsignor Zak Auditorium. The dinner is sponsored by the Northern Chautauqua Catholic School.

The next Fatima Mass is on March 1. There will be no Fatima prayers after Mass because of the bake sale.

An array of refreshments was provided by Sally Olow, Judy Szukala, Dorothy Buffa, Janet Nalepa and Sue Nickle.

The attendance prize was won by Waclawski.
