Church of the Living Spirit

This week’s speaker is Emmy Chetkin. Church services are held every Sunday in the Assembly Hall on Cleveland Avenue in Lily Dale.

Service time is 10:30 a.m. to noon and consists of a spiritual talk, a hands-on healing, a message demonstration, music, meditation and prayer.

Unitarian Universalist Congregation

The Unitarian Universalist Congregation of Northern Chautauqua welcomes Consulting Minister George Buchanan to the pulpit on Sunday May 27. His sermon, “Joys of the Moment” will reflect on how to see the joys in everyday things when facing global injustice, deep problems and personal difficulties. Rev George will assure us that there is a way! All are welcome to attend this service.

Blessed Mary Angela festival

Blessed Mary Angela will hold a festival with Weidner’s chicken barbecue on Sunday, June 3 from noon to 5 p.m. at the Hillside site social center, 324 Townsend St., Dunkirk. Tickets are $10 advance, $12 at the door. There will also be a bake sale, basket auction and raffle. Drive through and take out dining options are also available. Tickets can be purchased after Masses or at Big Rick’s, 327 E. Lake Shore Drive; Matt’s News, 93 E. Third St.; Fourth Ward Deli, 40 E. Doughty St. or Tommy’s Barber Shop, 25 Water St. in Fredonia.
