Healing Temple renovations complete
The Lily Dale community got a look at the newly renovated Healing Temple on Thursday. Dunkirk’s EMC Construction was the main contractor on the extensive refurbishment. A shortened podium was built to accomodate more visitors and a vaulted ceiling went in. An air conditioning system got put in and insulation was replaced. Workers also installed a new lighting system and a handicapped-accessible bathroom, replaced the floor and added storage rooms. Preservation work was also done on the stained glass windows, installed soon after the building opened to visitors in 1955.
