Holy Trinity to resume in-person Mass June 21

Holy Trinity will re-opening for weekend Mass next weekend, June 21, with the regular Mass schedule of 4 p.m. Saturday, 8:30 a.m. and 11 a.m. Sunday. They will open for daily Mass beginning Monday, June 15 at 8:15 a.m. and the regular Mass schedule will be maintained from that point forward. (weekdays Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday at 8:15 a.m. and Tuesday at noon).

“We can’t wait to see you all, but please know that if you do not feel comfortable returning to Mass just yet, Bishop Scharfenberger has extended the dispensation for attending Sunday Mass for the foreseeable future. We are still allowed only 25% of our former attendance for Mass.”

The Bishop has given the faithful this directive: “All who are especially vulnerable or simply uncomfortable attending a public liturgy are encouraged to remain at home…” The church will continue to broadcast the 8:30 a.m. Sunday Mass on the radio (WDOE 1410) so everyone can be a part of the liturgy.

If you do join in person, things will be a little different. Below are a few of the necessary changes to keep everyone healthy and safe:

¯ You must wear a mask covering your nose and mouth the entire time you are in the church.

¯ Bring hand sanitizer with you for use while in the church.

¯ Entering and exiting will happen ONLY through the Central Avenue doors.

¯ 6 foot social distancing mandatory between others (except those in your household). Seating will be by ushers only.

¯ No congregational singing is allowed.

¯ Communion will be distributed in the hand only. Directions will be given on how to receive when you arrive.

¯ As hard as it may be, please, no socializing. Although we will all be happy to see each other and be back to Mass in person, please do not gather in the church or in any of the vestibules. Be seated as soon as you enter the church, and refrain from socializing anywhere on the church grounds before and after Mass.

All COVID-19 cleaning protocols are being implemented before every Mass.

These instructions will be available to you in greater detail when you come to church and are in the bulletin, website, and Facebook page.
