Silver Creek Senior Citizens meet

SILVER CREEK — The Silver Creek Seniors Citizens met on Tuesday, July 6 with 30 members and guests present. Lorrie Newman (filling in for President Ed) opened the meeting with the pledge to the flag and everyone singing God Bless America. Pauline Flitt then gave a reading of “Butterflies and Eagles” and a blessing of the brown bag lunches. Lorrie then welcomed back Cathy Hebb, Claudia Ahl, and their guest Linda Stern.

Gifts were won by Claudia and Earl Sheeler. 50-50 winners were: Kim Munch, Cathy, and Pauline. Having the winning wheel cards were: Eleanor Lemiszko(twice), Betty Moores(twice), Harry Suski, Don Munch, Sally Conover, Earl, Janice Snyder and Annette Hoeber.

Pauline held the drawing for the Food Pantry prizes and Eleanor won both prizes. The club collected 73 lbs. of food and $20 for the Pantry. Thank you to all who donated.

Pauline called bingo and kept everyone busy. Winners were: Annette, MaryAnn Seibert, Ron Conover, Lorrie, Claudia(twice), Jim Spano, Judy Hahn, Jen Zlotnick (twice), and Joan Suski.

Next week’s lunch will be Pot Luck. Several members stayed after the meeting and played dominoes.
